Bø is located on the western side of Langøya in Vesterålen and is characterized by a dramatic coastal landscape with 438 islands, islets, and skerries¹. The administrative center of the municipality is Straume, and it has around 2,600 inhabitants (2025)¹. The mountain Burnestinden rises 693 meters above sea level, marking the highest point in the municipality¹.
