Moskenes municipality is a small, but beautiful municipality in Nordland county, in the outer part of Lofoten. It consists of the southern part of Moskenesøya, the outermost of the large Lofoten islands, as well as over a hundred small islands, islets and skerries around. The municipality has an area of 120 km² and a population of about 970 inhabitants. The village of Reine is the administrative center in the municipality. 

Moskenes municipality has a rich history, culture and nature. The municipality has several fishing villages such as Hamnøy, Sakrisøy, Reine, Moskenes, Sørvågen, Tind and Å, which offer authentic experiences of the traditional life in Lofoten. The municipality also has many attractions for tourists, such as the famous mountain Reinebringen, the idyllic museum Norsk Fiskeværsmuseum in Å, the exciting Moskstraumen and the mysterious Trollfjorden.
