Hemnes municipality is a municipality in Helgeland in Nordland, located on the south side of Ranfjorden and bordering Sweden in the east. The municipality has an area of 1 588.53 km² and a population of 4 553 as of 1 January 2014. Hemnes consists of five urban areas: Hemnesberget, Finneidfjord, Bjerka, Bleikvasslia and Korgen, which is the administrative center.
