Herøy municipality in Nordland is an island municipality on Helgeland with about 1800 inhabitants spread over 64 km2. The municipality consists of over 1700 islands, islets and skerries, and the largest and most populated are Nord-Herøy, Sør-Herøy, Tenna, Indre and Ytre Øksningan, Staulen and Seløy. The municipality has no land borders, but borders Dønna, Alstahaug and Vega in the sea.
