Lødingen municipality – a good place to live and work Lødingen municipality is a municipality in Nordland that is located southeast on Hinnøya, Norway’s largest island. The municipality has about 2000 inhabitants and an area of 516 km2 . • Lofoten Viking AS, a producer of stockfish, salted cod and salted fish that exports to over 30 countries. 
• Nordlaks Oppdrett AS, one of Norway’s largest breeders of salmon and trout that has several facilities in Lødingen’s fjords. 
• Lofoten Seaweed Company AS, a producer of seaweed products that uses sustainable methods for harvesting and processing.
