The pearl of the coast

Måsøy municipality is a beautiful and exciting municipality in Troms and Finnmark county, which consists of several islands and a part of the Porsanger peninsula. The municipality has many attractions and offers for both residents and visitors, and is a good place to live and work. 

The municipality has 1,128 inhabitants distributed over a land area of 1,068 km². The only urban area in the municipality is Havøysund, which is also the municipal center. Havøysund has, among other things, a modern harbor, a cultural center, a library, a youth club, a sports hall and a swimming pool. Havøysund is also known for its spectacular bridge, which connects the island with the mainland. 

Måsøy municipality has a rich cultural life, with several festivals and events throughout the year. Some of the most famous are Havøysund Days, Måsøy Festival, Sea Fishing Festival and Northern Lights Festival. The municipality also has an active music environment, with several choirs, bands and bands. 

The municipality has a varied business sector, with fishing, aquaculture, tourism, trade and service as the most important industries. The private business sector consists of, among other things, fishing boats, fish processing companies, fish farms, hotels, restaurants, shops and workshops. The municipality also has a good cooperation with the public business sector, which among other things includes nursing homes, schools and kindergartens. 

Måsøy municipality has a great nature, with many opportunities for outdoor activities and recreation. The municipality has several hiking trails, fishing spots, beaches and campsites. The municipality also has several cultural monuments and attractions, such as Måsøy Church, Ingøy Radio Lighthouse, Hjelmsøy Lighthouse and North Cape Museum. 

Måsøy municipality is a municipality with proud traditions, modern facilities and future-oriented visions. The municipality is a good choice for you who want to live in a safe and pleasant environment, with proximity to nature, culture and the sea.
