Nordkapp municipality is Norway’s northernmost municipality and is located in Troms og Finnmark county. The municipality has about 2 950 inhabitants and includes Magerøya, parts of the Porsanger Peninsula and the Sværholt Peninsula. The municipality is best known for the North Cape Plateau, which is a popular tourist destination . Nordkapp has a varied economy, with fishing, tourism, trade and public sector as important contributors. The municipality also has a rich cultural life, with festivals, events, museums and art. Nordkapp has four schools and four kindergartens.
